Victorian 9 Ct Gold Bohemian Garnet Earrings c1880

Flower shaped earrings are set with garnets to form the petals. The Garnets are the red wine colour characteristic of stones from Bohemia. To the reverse are hooks with safety keepers for pierced ears. The earrings have been made in 9 carat yellow gold.

The design and craftsmanship date these earrings to the Victorian period, circa 1880.Each earring is 13mm or 0.51 inches. The stones all test as garnet. Combined weight is 2.5g.

Unmarked, test as 9 carat gold.

The front of the earrings are in very good condition. The hooks are in good working order, it would appear that the top of each hook has been reattached some time ago, this has been professionally done, but is just visible. ID=Bohemiangarnetearringshooks
